Our 1966 CSP 311 Nissan Silvia

I had always wanted a  sixties CSP because of the looks  -

Very  few JDM cars look like an italian  sports coupe.

only  644 were made and all were hanvuilt

made the idea of owning  even more  appealing

Unfortunately being as rare as hens teeth made finding

a CSP   rather difficult especially  at a sensible price

But after lot of  searching we managed to find  one

in Japan almost completely original  needing some work

That was in 2019 . She is now in the U K

and on the road after a complete mechanical refurbishment

an

After an engine issue we decided to completely rebuild her

Finding parts for the silly rare 3 bearing engine is a majjor issue

so the original  R16 engine will be rebuilt over time

meanwhile a tuned period motor is being built

so the car can be driven this summer.

The engine will be an original period R16
stroked to 2 litres using an H20  crank and rods
H20 Pistons (jdm)  blockand head machined to get 10.25 c/ratio

will retail the iron head to keep original look
with all valves double springs and rockers from R16

custom cam by Newmah cams with new lifters

flyweel lightened (a lot) and balnced and mahined to take 240Z clutch

All mew bearings , chains sprockets and  core plugs
Carbs will probably be twin 40mm Del Ortos

custom  electonic ignition which can be set by laptop

with electronic fuel pump and malpas FPR

should be interested through a 5 speed roadster gearbox
Exhaust will be custom stainless made in the UK

to include bigger  bore header and system
