Our 1966 CSP 311 Nissan Silvia



I had always wanted a  sixties CSP because of the looks  -Very  few JDM cars look like an italian  sports coupe.


 only  544 were made and all were handbuilt which made the idea of owning  even more  appealing


Unfortunately being as rare as hens teeth made finding a CSP   rather difficult especially  at a sensible price


But after lot of  searching we managed to find  one   in Japan almost completely original  needing some work

That was in 2019 . She is now in the U Kand on the road after a complete mechanical refurbishment

After an engine issue we decided to completely rebuild her  Finding parts for the silly rare 3 bearing engine is a major issue

so the original  R16 engine will be rebuilt over timemeanwhile a tuned period motor is being builtso the car can be driven this summer.

The engine will be an original period R16 stroked to 2 litres using an H20  crank and rodsH20 Pistons (jdm) 

The  H20 iron head will be retained to keep original look with all valves double springs and rockers from R16

custom fast road cam by Newmah cams with new lifters . The flyweel was lightened (a lot) and balanced and machined to take 240Z clutch
All new bearings , chains sprockets and  core plugs Carbs will probably be 40mm side draft

The custom  electonic ignition used a custom chopper and optical sensor (no poibts)  which can be set by laptop with electronic fuel pump and malpas FPR

The 240Z clutch fits to a  5 speed roadster gearbox .  Header and exhaust are  custom stainless with bigger bore and oem stlye rear box all ,made in the UK
