1985 NISSAN B11 ESTATE aka "Nemo"

Resued from Someset after being  caught in a major flood

New paragraph

We heard about nemo through the datsun owners club

Nemo was a low mileage really nice car and was being used daily

He had been caught in a huge flood and carried 100 meters D

untill he was stopped by a very large tree ,

The drivers door was badly dented  but worse still

the whole car and engine had filled with water  .

Things looked terminal but we decided to take Nemo on

because before the flood he was such a nice car

and he was the top of the range 1.5  GLS spirit model

but more importantly sometimes you just have to do the right thing

so the resue started when he arrived on a trailer from somerset

The engine and petrol tank were drained and flushed 4 or 5 times

and then topped  with new clean petrol  , oil ,coolant and filters

Astonishingly he started first turn and ran fine
(try that with a modern car )

The interior was given a clean which was a major operation

as the interior and engine bay had been coated in red sand

from the flood water and a lot of parts had been destroyed by the water

Both headlamps  thermostat and housing  and starter were replaced

along with bumpers and light lenses .The door skin came with Nemo

The front wing , driver s  front and rear doors and hubcaps were repainted

We are nearing the end of emos fight for survival but he is not there yet

The main picture is where Nemo is as of today repairs done and painted

The last work will be to do the spirit stripes as near as we can to original

Finally my thanks to andrew Eve (from the UK datsun owners club
who found the car and supplied all the required parts free

including some that had to be ordered from Singapore

when finishd nemo will be for sale but only to a really good home nowhere water
